The scratches have a recently done appearance to them ie, no dirt or ordinary grime in the scratch bed and therefore no age look to them, and yes the eagles head is rather large, becoming suspicious , becoming itchy between the nether regions but that could be something completely differant and to be discussed elsewhere!!

the dead giveaway is the fact that the decal is scratched up and the rest of the helmet is fine. this is typical of aged helmets.
