This is what I consider a winter finish would look like 70 years after the fact ( yes, I know they are relics but its the patina I'm referring to)
The opening helmet is what it would have looked like at the time - NOT 7 decades later ........IMO

Too many flags for me, very few quist m42s were issued, most are found in post war configuration, the paint looks suspect, the inside looks abraded....is that liner dated 1940?

This one was whitewashed not that long ago , a real winter white camo would be going for much more than this.
There are quite a few genuine ones on the forum ( not relics ) to compare this one with !!

Thank you very much to all guys!! As always, very usefull answers, i'm gonna let it go, i love winter camo helmets, but this one definetly it's suspicious/repro.
I have this winter camo relic, and would like to upgrade my collection, but i will wait for a better chance...
