    the reason this bloke won was because the bloke below him was German ( well half German ) . however , although Germany lost WW2 , she is " winning " the collecting sphere. the other helmet in the shop had pretty colours on it but didn't have a chinstrap. pity really !

    nice m42 realy like this. cost me 90$ to fill my V8 i drive about 100km round trip to look at a helmet going for about 900$ or somtime more and still unshore if it all real how time have changed.

    it was a good deal easier then as reproduction stuff wasn't as prolific , nor was it fiendishly close to the original. the only things to worry about were post-war Norwegian helmets minus the decal , lead bendable badges and crude cloth. however, back then the market was not, to quote a modern idiom, " global ".
