    Default M42 w/ carbine hook strap

    Just got this M42 hkp66 helmet. The fellow I bought it from said he found it on the ground on a hilltop somewhere in the Balkans during the 90's. I thought it was unusual for this type of helmet to have the old carbine hook chinstrap. Also the helmet is black and I was wondering if it may be a post war reissue. Appreciate any comments. Thanks.
