M44 helmet with Austrian decal real or fake

Just trying to learn something here,but the pic in the book shows the decal with vent holes to the sides.....

what up with the liner vs the helmet condition?

The pictures from the book are of 2 different helmets, one was an M34 and the other a flat brim Luftschutz. I posted one to show the decal better and the other to show a flat brim with this type of decal. Sorry for the confusion. Jim G.

It's late for me but when I looked at the second picture of the luftyshoots sticker it was crooked. Looked that way the second time around too. Perhaps it's not a bad thing you missed this one. Better luck next time.

Dont understand, theres no luftschutz decal being shown, but a police decal, and Chris are you saying you've missed another or you've found another

Worth pointing out that in the book the decal is on the side, between vents, not at the front.

As mentioned previously in this thread the pictures shown from the Baer book are of two different helmets. Two different helmets, two different pages.
The one that you mention with the decal between the vents is from a M34 and is shown as it is a better straight-on photo of an Austrian type decal.
The helmet type being discussed will have the decal at the front.
