Its stamped ET 64 and 4079
ET means Eisenhuttenwerk, Thale
The number 4079 is, i think, the productionsnumber

Yes, looks like a nice one, some outdoor shots with a nice decal close up would be cool, and help us see it better.

This may well be a Kriegsmarine helmet. The lot number is in the range of known examples. The decal is hard to evaluate with these pictures, however. It does not look golden enough, and it would be nice to see a sharp clear picture that reveals the layering.

I like the look of this one as being an honest KM! Good pick up my friend.Just a shame the national decal was removed,that would add a few pennies!!!
