Kevin it's a nice lid , many of the large German factories had their own defence force/ fire service etc never seen a Mauser one before so it makes it a very interesting lid

Hi Guys, I should caution that fake factory decals are now being made and being applied to overwise original plain black civic helmets.

I cannot comment on the originality of the one shown.

PS. there is a marker like "D.R.P. under an unclear symbol near the left side's edge.
