They don't affect price unless it is one of those goofy end-of-the-war M42's like 'qvl'. The paint/decal, originality, and condition are the important things.
ET M42's and M40's are probably the most common maker/shell combos.
Yes, Mo has a point. 'qlv 'or even the elusive 'blv ' (A few batches were punch out with the 'q' di accidentally put upside down ! This is just what I've heard before, anyway . As far as value , I'm not really sure it makes too much different unless you prefer one maker over the other, for instance, I'm partial to the 'Quist' made lids.
-EDIT-
The pics I added are a black Q68 beaded luftscutz and Q62 Luftwaffe , Both are M40's.

thank you
No problem! Any chance to show off my lids!

hehe :PP
Quist M42's are pretty rare in addition to the qvl's. Q only made the M42 for a few months at the end of the war, and never fully switched over from the M40. Any size above a 68 is mega rare too (ignoring para helmet sizes), but only ET / ckl did those sizes.
thanks for those informations krad
aww i didn't see the pictures :P maybe my browser didn't load them xD ... was Q(68) a rare size for a luftscutz helmet? also do you have any thread with more pics of the luftwaffe helmet?
