My M42 Soldier Art Helm

This is a Q64 M42 DN543 lot number. Based on the locations listed in France and Germany, I suspect this soldier was part of the US 7th Army, 6th Corps, 100th Infantry Division, 398th Infantry Regiment.

Locations in France: Baccarat, Vosges Mtns., Raon L' Tape, Rimling, Bitche, and Petite Redicher.
Locations in Germany: Mannheim, Heilbronn, Alfdorf, Lorch, Gmund, and the Harz Mtns.

A late war excursion from the last 6 months of the war (November 3, 1944 to May 9, 1945).

I would also be curious to know if you can read the liner band maker's stamp.

I agree with the others, it does look freshly done the yellow and blue, I don't see any smudges of dirt on it and the smudges
