If you like the helmet than go for it. The name on the liner is trivial, and a bonus if it proves to be period.

Yes, like I said the helmet is definitely a good one. You should buy it. I would love to have it in my collection.

Well... we all know that the Germans made use of young people and volunteers from around Europe as combatants... maybe the person who wrote the name fell into both categories... hence the bad hand writing and non-german name. :P

Did you finally scratch the itch you had for a SD Luftwaffe lid?
Unfortunately not, but I am saving money slowly but surely. I am thinking about just not buying anything this summer and getting a nice DD M35 in August or so.

I like that plan! I have tried it myself, never works, lol. Need stronger willpower. My current savings plan is for an M35 DD Heer or SD SS with decent decal. Undecided which at this point.
