Some reasons why this helmet can not be fake. Liner price is about 120 eur, chinstrap is about 100eur, set of original rivets about 50-60 eur. Helmet in good but not excellent condition will cost approximately 100 eur, price in around 350 -400 eur.... If it's excellent 500, someone will make a nice" blowjob" to win 100 eur? I think the peoples who allways sceptical to the items like that collect just nothing- only the life in the internet and his doubts.
I can understand peoples who will ask about SS buckles SS helmets soviet awards etc. The stuff which is mostly faked. But in that way fakers win thousands of $, but not in that case.

I know that all soviet period items in army was painted with nitro based paint "nitruha" named. But it's can be removed with acetone or something like that very easy... Probably time hardened paint cannot be removed with acetone?

    hello dimas!
i dont know, how the soviets painted their helmets.
    i only know "nitrokraska"
but you can use the aceton test ,as a quick test on every german helmet pre45.
after ww2 in"western europe" the old helmet colours were vorbidden ,because they were dangerous for health.
    greetings mike
