A nice example. It was common practice for vets and collectors to lacquer helmets to preserve them. We know better nowadays. I laquered a helmet in 1970 when I was a kid to keep the decal from getting scratched any further. Just leave the laquer as is. We now know that no laquer should ever be applied.
no expert here, but I think it is one nice looking helmet you got a streak going on here, where is all the nice stuff around me?
