Need Help identifying helmet.. WWI? 1916?
I am definitely a novice at identifying these helmets.
If you could help that would be great.
I think it is some type of modified M1916... or transitional...
Does anyone have any better insite? The dual strap taps is my issue.
thanks

anything out from that pic.........

It's certainly not WW2 configuration, paint and the two rivets in the skirt are post war at least. Any markings inside the rim?

No. M42, edge not rolled. Missing vents which should not he possible unless drilled out?
Frankensteins helmet or a modern replica?

Not a WWI or a WWII helmet IMO.
Looking for the photo albums of Leutnant Emil Freitag, 3. / G.R. 377

The angle is weird and I couldn't tell if it's rolled or not. It certainly isn't anywhere near WWII/WWI spec, but it might have been originally, really hard to tell from that one photo.
