Need help on this M42 helmet

Article about: I was offered this helmet for 350\\$ and I want some thoughts on it. I want to know what peoples vibes are on it. THese are the only pictures I have for it.

    Looks good - go for it.... $350 is a great price.
    Chinstrap needs further examination but I think it's ok.
    Name looks right also - not too white looling and correct enamel appearance.

    As Dan said, it looks honest but i'm not sure about the chin strap!..

    It's claimed to be all original, maybe I'll request better pictures of the chin strap

    Looks to be a nice original helmet , i like the battle damage also

    Yeah I do too .. there is still shrapnel in bedded in the liner

    Not sold on the chin strap either. Looks too new and
    unused, even though it is 'aged'. My guess, it's
    a Czech repro - but hey, not everyone wants
    to pay $150 for a strip of leather.........

    Hi, not a bad price for a nice battle damaged, named helmet. I'm with the others that the strap appears to thin, and is probably a copy. Just a word of caution, but I would ask for some nice close up images of the leather liners fixing to the liner band. It has probably just shrunk a bit as it seems a bit small, but it may be replacement leather part attached on the original band. Leon.

    I,m with Leon re the liner, I also think it may be a replacement, although original it does look small for the liner band, if you can get closeups of the internal liner pins you might find that they are distorted rather than completely flattened which could mean they,ve been out at some time
