Need opinions on this m34 fireman helmet

Hi guys, I am posting this for a friend of mine to get opinions on the decals on this m34 duck bill fire helmet, it has 2 party shield decals on it which I never seen before on any m34 helmets, to me the decals don't look right but could be wrong, below are the pics, lmk your thoughts,this once had a comb on top too

I dont think you can fake that kind of age and crazing on a decal, and it wouldnt really bump up the value on this style of helmet anyway, cant explain why its double maybe someone else knows or has seen this before.

Common helmet in very rough condition. If you are buying it, get it for cheap or pass.

isn't this a m18 civilian style helmet? I only saw those in pictures so i don't know for sure but it pretty much looks like it?

This helmet still has me thinking, Brian it does look like a m18 helmet by its shape but its still has me wondering why the double party shields, I may have to get this from him since its unique

This style shell is known as a "duckbill" M34 shell. The double party shield configuration isn't, to my knowledge, regulation, but this one is 100% period in my opinion. I have seen other civic police helmets with this decal combination and I think they are interesting - too bad this one isn't in better shape. It is neat none the less, and for the right price I would definitely have bought it if I came across it. Jim G.

Thanks Jim for the info, I wasn't sure if it was a duck bill or another type of helmet, I think he paid like $150 for it and I have a few things he wants and can pick this up in part of a trade deal if I decide I want it or not but at least I know what it is now and so does he
