Ive never seen an RB numbered liner band before?
Other shell stamp's look okay so possibly an original M42 shell with an aged repro liner. Not bad if the price is right

I agree with Tom, the lid looks okay, but the liner looks very odd, and the rivets are missing so its not even connected to the lid. Liner is not worn by the look of it, and not a wartime one.

I agree, it looks fine, but never ever remove a liner from a helmet if it is original to it. The helmet will be devalued if this is done.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hi Michiel,

The liner is fine, just a late war dated example in pretty good condition . Do put it back in, but re-bending the rivet prongs properly will be very difficult....

If you have any other helmets, PLEASE do not remove the liner (always listen to Ade!!), it really does devalue the helmet, still we all make mistakes

    Cheers,

    Grant
