I think a close up of the decal would be needed, usually if the decal is fake, the camo would be too and vice versa. It also looks like its had wire attached to it in the past for attaching grass, leaves etc. Whether this has been done by a faker or not is the question.
Thanks
Danny
You absolutely have to have closeups to make an evaluation. Decal, camo, photos of the wear of the camo, the leading edges of the helmet, rivets, etc. all need closeups to make a proper evaluation. From this distance I wouldnt touch it. If real, a camo like this could fetch $3500 US easy.
If its too good to be true it usually is Fakers will often price a fake helmet cheaper than what a genuine one would be worth to take peoples attention away from the actual helmet and get them to buy it quickly incase they are missing out on a really good deal.
Thanks
Danny
Closeups will be sent soon, I have requested them.

Correct NS type bird , camo looks good but the bird was most surely dug out post war. Too bad. Otherwise nice helmet.
Does that meen the helmet and camo seems ok but the bird postwar? Lets put the bird aside, do you think 2100$ is still a fair price? Still a nice original Camo...
The bird is original but the camo was over it and someone removed the camo paint from the bird , this practice was done a lot by early collectors when helmets were cheap.
Unfortunately collectors these days like untouched helmets so I personally wouldn't consider a helmet like this.
2100$ is too much.
