It's all a bit, euh; over the top? The liner looks brand new, and the lid itself looks like it's a repaint with some red rust. Would be a great lid if it was the real deal, but I guess when it's to good to be true....

Be fair guys, theres every chance it came from Normandy, just not during the war, perhaps last week/month yes , and its great as a re-enactors piece,but i would say the the strap is worth more

Appears freshly painted, liner is a dogs breakfast. Nothing to get excited over.
