It's a German WW2 helmet that has been reissued post war to the norwegians....it's got the original liner but has been dyed red post war, the decal is post war and the paint is post war.....
Not sure on a price....I like it, if I had it I'd probaly leave it as is, but you would expect to pay a lot less than a untouched war time German helmet....a lot of people strip these back and try to remove the dye in the liner to take it back to its war time configuration
AMTG is correct. These Norwegian reissues are not too commonly found in this condition, and they have an interesting history, so I would leave it as it is. I think I saw a similar one once sell for $250?
I'd pay that for one in this condition....would look good on the shelf.....I think the post war refurbed of German shells is really underrated as lots of collectors seem compelled to return thm to WW2 condition.....but what you end up with is a helmet that isn't quite German and is stuck in a limbo, damaged and part of its history is forever lost
I've seen them selling for higher but $200/$250 is about as much
as I'd want pay for a nice complete one.........

Steve.
Thx all !!!
I also like these
$200 at the most!
There are a lot in Norway of those helmets!
They often painted it and had new straps on as well
Well, not that much Nitram, you should be very lucky to get more than $220 for a Norwegian helmet like that..
