Bob I'm guessing you took from my comment that they were uncovered after the war, that I meant a cache of unissued decals were found. I meant that in the case of this green lid the decals on it were literally uncovered from under the green layer through some means or other. The few helmets like this that I have seen all share common traits, I don't think I've seen a convincing bad one yet.by BOB COLEMAN
Now I understand your comment. Evidently this helmet had a new life after the war with a green finish and decals covered. that would make sense.

If I were to own 1 gladiator helmet Anders would be the one. Glad's aren't in my wheelhouse but man Anders yours is a killer.
