The One That Got Away

A few weeks ago I corresponded with an official at a county historical society to see if they would be interested in trading any German military items they might have for a scrapbook I knew would be of interest to them. I was told that they had some helmets they wouldn't mind getting rid of but, upon further reflection, they decided not to swap because the helmets were donated by a major benefactor and they didn't want to ruffle any feathers. Here's a picture of the one that got away.
