Dave I just look at the website forum (german helmet wahalla)
There is the same type of helmet and they are calling it a One piece beaded gladiator helmet.
They are saying it is hard to find.

very nice example and the luftschutz decal looks great with a little bit of wear and tear which you would expect and luckily the swastica is intact which ive heard is rare due to them being scratched off post war i was under the impression the beaded helms were classed as 2 piece is there any chance of seeing the liner and chin strap attachments ,mine is missing its strap and would like to see where they attach regards james
Your one cost RM8.50....they must of had a sale on as mine only cost RM5.00
I am bringing this one back up.
To show that there is 4 gladiator helmet.

Very interesting Chris, thanks. So the bead is used as the weld seam connection for the two piece and is present on the one piece for a totally different reason to the M40 styles, correct? ... ( which was to identify rejected shells )

I have one as well Chris and agree the designation as a two piece has always baffled me.

The information I have from the goodapple books states that the 'two piece is actually a misnomer,in other words the two piece is stamped from a single planchette of steel, the same as a one piece, the bead is just added therefore was called a two piece, but it was'nt to hold the dome onto the skirt, the main problem with all these reference books is that many differ from each other
