Opinion about luftwaffe m40 helmet

I'd like to know your opinions about this item. It's being sold here in my country .The seller wants about $210.









Could you tell if it is an authentic piece? What do you think?

I wouldn't trust that decal on an M40 at the best of times, and the places you want to examine are scratched out too. Not worth chasing IMO. A good close shot of the tail feathers would nail it.

Yes, first pattern LW decal was only on early M35s.

Concerning droop-tail luftwaffe decals, my research is leading me toward mid 1938 for the ending of the snake-leg decal, and autumn 1939 for the ending of the straight-leg decal.

Agree with all the above comments. Wrong decal for the model of Helmet, the most major of red flags on this helmet
