Thanks guys for all the feedback. In the end it went for more then 700 I think.. But not to me . I bought the M42(just posted) for way way less

Hi there,i'm glad you did'nt pay that price for it. I have only just looked at the post and my opinion(for what it's worth) is that the heer decal is fine and it is a 1940's re-fit helmet. The national decal however doesn't look quite right as the curves which taper in to the bottom of the sheild are not on an even level with each other.As everyone else have mentioned the chinstrap is a modern replacement but aren't they all these days!! Hey ho that's life and enjoy your M42.
