Plus wear and tear over time can obscure any stamps. I have a few that you have to hold at a certain angle in a certain light to see that there was a stamp at one time.

few days ago i have see the same strap on polizei (two embossed lines along the edges) with no maker stamp.
i have few with no stamping as well
