Re: Opinions M42 Camo for sale?
I am no expert in camos by any means, but that paint looks a little like some Norwegian helmets I've seen.
The shape of the missing paint, where it looks like decals have been, are the shape of Norwegian decals IMO.
The liner colouring is a red dye that is used on Norwegian reissued liners from what I can see in the photos.
I can't really comment on the decals that are showing underneath other than there appears to be more than one, might even be a
Heer decal under the NSDAP shield

Re: Opinions M42 Camo for sale?
Lidman is spot on a Norwegian rework of an M42, certainly not period camo. The decals will be real then but in the state its in I wouldnt bother

Re: Opinions M42 Camo for sale?
Yeah Lidman did a good job Thanks for the info I was really confused because the paint scheme looked like a m35 at first. I learned something new today!
Anyways like I said on the other thread I am looking for an M40 sd in slightly weathered shape but with a liner and possibly a chin strap. Keep in mind I go to college have a dis-functional car and a lot of bills so money is not abundant in my area, or would have got this...
Board Message
Max would be around $500 but it would take me a while to get that.
