Opinions Needed On My Newly Acquired M40 Beaded Helmet

Greetings all,

I recently picked up this very nice m40 beaded helmet from local vet. It is in excellent shape with a very nice liner. The helmet is marked "Q64" with DN371 (or 374) as the batch number. It seems to retain about 98% or so of it's original paint. The liner is marked 59 for the size, and "5.50 RM", which I am guessing is the price. The split pins have markings, but I can't tell what they are. There is no LS decal, and it appears to have never had one. I am assuming that it is all original, but I would like other opinions as well. If I were to sell this helmet, what would be a good price to ask?

No problem with this one it's Quist made, similar under paint rusting to my decaled one and yes RM5.5 is the price Reichs Mark (if I spelt it correctly)

I agree with Rene all looks original to me and a nice one.

As a side note to those, Beaded lids were not produced post war.

check dealer sites for an idea of the going rate, then reduce by maybe 20/30%

Thanks for confirming it's originality guys! I thought it was all original, but it was in almost too nice of condition. I really didn't have any reason to doubt it since I acquired it from a veteran, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks again!
