I would appreciate any input on this lid. no stamps at all on the inside.the liner has the chin strap(broken and missing buckle end) riveted to the liner. she sure seems to have a nice look to me,but would not be surprised if it goes either way!the decals,hmmmn.....

kreigsmarine?decals original? is this the correct liner?

I cannot see any markings on the side skirt nor the rear, therefore i agree with Mo, fake helmet, also the air vents are not the norm, as for the liner ,bad im afraid, plus the decal is a reproduction, the construction of the rolled rim also casts doubt

With the vents and the liner like it is, could it be one of the post war Q's? and someone just stuck the decals on the side for a quick buck?

hi , think you may be right on it being a postwar helmet ,the liner is of the type used in postwar german helmets ,decals are bad fakes ......cheers paul

I have never seen a liner like that, where the chin straps were riveted right in the leather liner.chipped it up,added some fake rust.maybe when the strap broke they might have ditched it, and some one snagged it and thought they could turn it into something special.

I guess I will post the pics in the fake helmet section as a poor kreigsmarine fake...
