Please help!! Luftwaffe helmet

I have the opportunity to purchase this helmet for $400.00 USD.
These are the best photos I have.
I believe it is an M40 Single Decal Helmet.
The decal looks 90+% to me.
The only issues I see are the rust area on top and the lack of a chin strap.
I would really appreciate your help
I need to know your thoughts on authenticity?
Also, what is the helmet worth (approximate value so I know if I would be paying too much).

Good helmet though, $400 is a good price too. I'd buy it for that price.
