Just purchased these 2 M42 helmet shells, your opinions would be very grateful, luftwaffe helmet has ET64 2213 stamped inside and elite helmet has NS66 6351

I'm not keen on the SS lid but the Luftwaffe one looks ok to me, unless it's a really good fake decal.

The luftwaffe helmet is ok, i am not quite sure about the SS decal, but it looks "OK" to me.

Thanks guys for your opinions, was told that M42 NS SS lids have a different type of 2nd pattern runes, is that correct? thanks Clay

The SS M42 is a fake I am afraid to say. M42NS or hkp would typically be found with "champagne" runes on them.

Yes the ss one is totaly fake,I am not so sure if the luftwaffe is real ,would like to see better pictures of it.

Hi guys even though ss lid seems fake, isnt that decal a champagne runes, will try upload a image of a original NS lid

CLAY, why do the first pic's of the SS lid have a rivet, but the other pic's , below the luft lid are missing the rivet & strap, also it looks more of a cammo paint job. plus the decal looks different, just asking thats all. no offense meant.
