German produced and used by Polish army and police.
Most likely taken from German/Austro Hungarian stocks in the areas of the new Polish state that had been part of those empires (the rest of Poland having been part of Czarist Russia). The Poles ended up wth equipment from all 3 empires plus stuff supplied by Britain, France and the US directly after WW1 -a logistical nightmare for a country at war.
Hi would Gorzow wielkopolski Not far from berlin and is in poland would be part of the german empire in ww1?
What is now Western Poland was given to them by the Soviets after 1945 in compensation for Eastern Poland being absorbed into the Soviet Union thus much of modern Poland is further to the west than the pre WW2 country-somewhat confusing but you have to remember borders are basically just lines on a map that can be redrawn. Check some maps on google for 1914, 1920 and 1946 to see the changes.
There are tons of photos of Poles carrying a variety of foreign weapons and gear. It is comparable to the German civilian fighters in Berlin in 1945, who used whatever equipment was at hand to defend against the Russians.
Dough Boy, you misspelled "Britain" on your profile location.
