Yes, I believe there is, also on the other side. So a re-issue but when and under what circumstances who can say but my feeling is that it was re-badged at source or very soon after manufacture.by Duff

For some reason I couldn' add another pic by edit to the original post, must be doing it wrong!
However;
Here is another pic of what I found on closer inspection.
I thought the chinstrap was a late war type but this mark on the back of the buckle assembly seems to indicate other wise
