What he meant was it is a genuine post war production helmet. It was actually produced in Germany after the war, possibly for a Berlin wall guard... (in other words).
I agree postwar lid with fake decal,i think if im correct didnt they wear lids like this upto the 60s ,, its an m40 style airvent not m35,the m35 had a seperate rivet style airvent bushing , this is pressed out, rgds Dave
yeah that's what i would say a post war German border guard helmet that someone added decals to, to pass it off as WW2. i have a similar one but without the liner pins that they did the exact same thing with but still a nice lid though
