Eric, maybe not so much lack of interest as lack of helmets. DRK helmets are pretty hard to find. Here is mine - I've actually owned it twice and it is the only M34 helmet I currently own. First bought it in 1973, traded it off in 1985, just recently got it back from the same guy simplybecause I always liked these.

Some very nice helmets.
rare helms the DD are extremely rare.
Nice examples of a tough to find helmet, I will post some of mine this weekend.

Posting some of my DRK helmets, first is a M-34 in the typical configuration, SD with light gray finish.
Another M34 SD, light/medium gray finish
DD M-34/35 lightweight DRK, medium green finish, round bottomed nat colors often found on the DD versions of civilian helmets.
Another M34/35 style lightweight DD DRK, this one marked to the DRK/city of Hamburg. Same decal set as the previous helmet.
A third M34/35 style lightweight DRK, this one was a DD but had the Nat Col's decal removed during service. Finish on this one is a dark charcoal gray.
