Very nice piece Jim. Never seen one before.
Thank you all for the favorable comments. I posted this one on GHW today as well, and one of the forum members replied that he had one in the identical configuration, down to the the UNIT MARKING on the rear of the skirt - "4/19"! It is almost inconceivable to me that out of such a small run of such fragile pieces 2 from the same unit have survived! I'm elated! I have asked him to post his piece, and if he does, and if (a BIG if!)I can figure out how to do so, I will add that one to this thread as well. Anyway, it is time for dinner, so I am going to log off for now. Glad you all have enjoyed this one. Jim G.
Thanks for posting such a rare and interesting example Jim
As you say, almost inconceivable that there is another out there from the same unit!!
Brad.
would it be fair to say this helmet would be the great grampar to the modern kevlar helmet
Super helmet Jim.

Two of these! What a coincidence! Look forward to pics.
PS
I quite like the condition of that helmet. I dont ind some honest wear....or in this case, quite a lot of wear!
