Re: Q.........km?

The seller says that the helmet was acquired by his father at the Brest U-boat facility in May of 1945 and claims it is definitely a KM.
The helmet is not a KM is Heer.
If I am a seller I want my helmet to be a KM more money.
Brest was captured in Sept 1944 He found the helmet 8 months later in a place full of troops I do not think so .
Buy the item not the story.

Re: Q.........km?
I wouldn't buy it as a KM helmet, regardless of the story. I like the lid
but it should really sell for the price of a Heer helmet, IMO, and also
a '62' is a rather small size.........

Re: Q.........km?
It seems the Heers have it! Thanks all for your input.

Re: Q.........km?
I agree the small sizes are good! As the others said its a Heer and buy it as such, not a story about KM
Cheers

Re: Q.........km?
Story may be true, or not. Clearly there were also Heer troops stationed in the vicinity, and there were undoubtedly lots of helmets floating around at the time. A Heer, anyway, as mentioned before.
