    Question Question about Luftschutz helmet.

    Hi,,

    my name is Khaled, I am new member here hope to get information from your experience about this helmet which is my first helmet by the way ! ( I hope its not fake ) I am interested on WW2 in general. there are some pictures below : need all info about this helmet، where? and when? fake ? or not, also its obvious that it gets renewed from inside. I have read there was some actions on 1968 in similar helmets, and its called ( French Luftschutz or M26 ) this is all what I know. !

    Welcome, the helmet you have is a Czech m29, see this link checo modelo 29

    Somebody better educated on the decal will need to confirm if it is original or a copy. The liner I think is correct style for the helmet but it may have been refitted.

    The decal is a well known fake. Some of the dead give aways are the absences of the gaps between the tips of the second and third feathers on the wings and the thin font of the lettering. The composition of the decal is off, and over all, the graphics are wrong. As you get more familiar with Luftschutz decals, this one will be easy to spot. Jim G.

    As Jim say, known fake.
