Quite possibly the mintiest helmet I have ever seen

Article about: Wow. So the lug is there to hold ceremonial oak leaves? If this helmet was just for special events, then maybe that explains why it is in such stellar condition.

    I'm not sure myself, but it looks a lot like a sprig attachment device of some kind.
