This is a interesting one. I would like to see better pictures and close-up of the paint before giving my opinion.
I know the camo is not something you see everyday so some collector will say it is bad base just on the camo look ,but I have seen them before.
Can't say I'm really a fan of this one old chap.
It rather resembles the German 'disc' camouflage, or the denser 'corn chip' type seen on late war AFV's. The Allies used a similar pattern called 'Mickey Mouse' camouflage around the same time.
Having never seen this type of cammo on any German helmet before i'm gonna say it's a fabricated design based on the above styles by an inventive faker. Unless someone else has seen this pattern before of course....
'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.

I should elabourate on my statement I think. Aside from the unusual design as Ned stated, my main issue was the outer patina on it. It looks like it has had mud rubbed onto it to simulate grime build up, maybe with a lacquer over the top.
If it is real, The brown looks like oil and not paint Any thoughts?
