And the amazingly well written description making me wonder if we'd discovered another Hemingway while at the same time wondering if I was getting a previously unheard of flashback from the overdose of Viagra I'd accidentally taken last month... ;-{)
The inside of the shell is stamped ET 64 and 49. Large hex half basket "chicken wire" configuration with visor hook. Overall nice condition. Lots of pictures - look it over.
I see a chicken wire helmet that have never seen combat... So let's hang on for a min here. The soldier "field" applied this netting/wire and then all of a sudden he did not use the helmet anymore or took extreme care of it. Not a dimple or hardly a scratch on the wire/hangers. So why does a soldier feel the need for applying wire to a lid? Camouflage right? How much "camo" can you fir under this netting? Nothing!

Do You really belive someone paid 12K for it? I do not.
This one's gonna run......
'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.
