Yeah, I thought the same; you can see the helmet's actually been in a battle and the fact it's named adds interest to me, personally. I just thought as the M35 was so pristine it might have been a better deal... but I've contacted the seller about the M40, it'd better not have been sold this time

Would £260 be a good price for the original Luftwaffe I posted on thus thread?
Robbie
I'd go with the Heer. Most likely saw combat use. In terms of Luftwaffe headgear, I'd look for a leather pilots cap over a ground crews helmet. Nice finds though. Are you buying them from a website?
Yeah, I'm buying a pretty nice Heer from the same website the Luftwaffe was advertised on; it actually has some pretty nice stuff and is fairly new - HELMETS OF WAR - have a browse!
Robbie
Whose site is Helmets of War?
Is it a Canadian guy ?

Steve.
Hey, sorry, yeah it is - is it suspicious in some way? O_O
Quebec ? - I'm pretty sure he has been selling a bunch of faked helmets
and shells on E-bay in the last year or two - calling them all, or most of
them 'Normandy camo'. One or two were posted on the Forum.
I noticed he does a lot of helmet 'restorations', and that some of the
liners look suspiciously like 'red' Norwegian types - many for sale
show no interior shots at all.
I'd be somewhat cautious and ask for lots of pictures. Some of the
helmets don't look too bad, but this is reflected in the prices.
Regards,
Steve.
