School me on the Luftschutz

Sorry in advance. I know a ton about m1 helmets...just getting interested in German helmets. I have another thread going on a m40 that I might buy.

The guy who has the m40..also has a Luftschutz. I like it, but not as much as the m40. He is asking $200 for the civil defense helmet. Is that the going rate for these?

There are 4 versions of the "Gladiator" helmets, a one piece, a two piece, which is the one you show, a three piece and a flat rimmed, in actual fact the 2 piece is made as a single planchette of steel with a bead around the middle which gives it the appearance of being in two pieces, when really its just one, i personally think it should be called a one piece beaded, but the terminology describing these helmets have been used for decades
