SD M42 LW Normandy Camo, real or fake?
Hi guys, I have already gotten an opinion on this helmet, that being it is a fake but I wanted to get some other opinions before I decide to restore it to it’s original configuration, for proper display. I will include detailed photos for all of you thank you so much!

All tarted up to me. Looks like a fake decal, liner and I think chinstrap.
Will defer comment on the camo as I'm on a cell phone but given the other issues, it's most certainly bad as well

Hi, you are spot on my friend, it is indeed a completely re-worked shell. Fake decal and paint job, heavy "tool marks" all over to try and give it an aged look. It is fine for a re-enactor, but that is about it. Leon.
I guess that Fallshirmjager (Leon) will have a field day with this one. Repetitive scratch marks and so on...
