" SIGNAL " Helmet

Has anyone ever seen a period photo of anything like this..last few years its been all the rage to decal with German companies, but i havent seen this one, and the paint looks old but im not sure how old...basic question, would you want to stick out like this on your helmet in a war zone? or would it be more an airraid domestic situation but then why a combat helmet?
