Hello,
I bought this helmet from someone I know very well, im not sure about it but i doubt about the paintjob, i bought it as 100% original...
This is my first piece of my collection and it would trouble me if this helmet was repainted.
The seller told me it first was a luftwaffe helmet, but in the war it was repainted and became a fahradtruppe helmet, SA?
The paintjob is very harsh, a bit like sandpaper as you will see on the last photo, underneath the dark paint you can see a more darkgreen like color, as you can see on the photo of the inside...
I hope the photos are clear enough for youre expert eyes to see.

The helmet looks to be an M42, can't say much about the liner from these pics and the eagle insignia is unlike any other I have seen on a war time German helmet.

yes there should be an luftwaffe insigna under the paint,
the seller told me it is a very special helmet, re-used in the time, for the SA
i hope he was telling the truth,
if it was repainted after the war i would feel screwed by him
