I agree with Frank, it is not a KM helmet but a Heer with some mild toning. I know a collector who collects nothing but vet inscribed and marked helmets such as these. He has about 60 or more in his collection which is fantastic. Some vet art helmets are simply just scrawls of names the vet has been and some are almost professional works of art done by someone in the unit who did them for multiple vet bring home helmets. They are pieces of history.

Believe it or not these are being heavily faked now as well, an old shell with little value painted over and then names plastered all over the place, aged to look old. Would love to see the rest of the helmet in macro closeups if time permits.

A very very nice helmet i saw a video on youtube of a guy who found a helmet while metal detecting that had the original waffen ss symbols and was in great shape....-.- Then he sanded off all the paint and painted it green i almost cried i mean how can you bring yourself to ruin something like that....but it is a very very cool helmet maybe one day i will have one too
