Second time lucky with the photo uploads. Hope these are of interest and if anyone has any further info on norwegian helmets, I would be happy to hear it. Off to watch the footie now, my wife the eternal optimist bet on greece at 100 to 1 to win euro 2012. Can't help but think germany are going to repeat their 1940 glory!
Very nice M35, I would strip off the modern paint with acetone and leave the Norwegian paint(The modern paint will be easier to remove than the Norwegian one. Your helmet has a pretty typical liner, dyed red and what appears to be shoelaces that hold it together. The chinstrap looks like it has not been messed with.

I see no point in stripping the paint... it is what it is imo, why "ruin" it further..
Yes, I'm going to leave it as it has been messed about enough already. The german stuff seems to be the cornerstone of every collector. I personally like the Adrian helmets better as they are more unique in design. I also like and own several tommy helmets both military and civil defence. Both my wife and I had relatives that served in both ww's. Some are buried in northern france, some survived. One was on HMS Fiji when it was sunk off Crete. So I'm a little apprehensive about expanding my german stuff. Any thoughts?
We'd love to see pictures of your other helmets as well
Best Regards

Are there any good dealer sources for these German/Norwegian lids?
