That flag is probably a big clue, I guess a Finnish M55 helmet

Yeah it's the same type as the Finnish M55, but the picture is wartime, so apparently it is that Hungarian model. Thanks.

Who made these helmets? Were they made in Germany?

They were made in a Hungarian factory for the Finnish .Most you find in Finland are marked DR or DM with the shell size
