Default Ventless M18 - Single Decal Heer

Hi All, I had wanted an M18 ventless helmet for many years. I missed one by a few minutes at a show last year, but a few months later the buyer, a friend of mine, pitied me and sold it to me at one of our "helmet parties." That one was a SD Heer, complete with shortened chinstrap and a reinforced aluminum banded liner. The paint was good, but, unfortunately, the decal had flaked off and all that remains is the shadow of the bird. The shell of that one has no maker/size stamp, but does have the lot number "1". It is, as far as I can tell a size 66. This week I was able to upgrade with this gem, also a single decal Heer. It was reissued to 1940 specs, and is, likewise, complete, with a full length unmarked chinstrap and a steel liner. There are no maker/size or lot number stamps, but this one is a size 66 as well since the liner is a 59. It is in considerably better shape than the other, with 90% plus paint and decal. Hope you like it, Jim G.

Great helmet Jim! How does one go about getting invited to one of these "helmet parties?"
