You do not need to be comfortable with paint and patina to know that this one is an out and out fake. The only thing real on this little baby, is the shell, and possibly the liner. It has been aged very badly, and he's using a model makers trick to age around the pins. And a name in red? what's that for? so he can find it in the dark?

    Here is the description.

German Helmet model M1940 whit yellow camouflage, whit name!

Good old Mr Ciak! First time Iv'e seen a tea stained German helmet before. What a tosser, not as big a tosser as the people who are bidding on it though. In this age of instantly available information on almost everything via the web there is no excuse for not knowing your stuff... What is the saying John... 'Caveat Emptor'.

I hope I havent overstepped the mark here, but I have been following this thread, and his listings and I do understand that one forum member has contacted this wanker with his concerns, but I have just reported him to ebay.co.uk..........and they sent back an email saying they are now going to look into it. I did not mention this forum in the complaint, and I know I am only a small fish in a big tank here, but I reckoned if they get enough complaints, then somehting may happen. Remeber I am ex Aussie Army and chain of command means everything, so I hope I havent stepped on anyones toes.

Err...That may have been me.As regards the e-mail from ebay, yeah i got the exact same one as you, but nothing appears to have changed. I'm wondering if i got in touch with Italian ebay and showed them the evidence of this guys fraudulent practices if they'd do anything. What do you reckon?

    Regards, Ned.
